Abstract

White organic light-emitting diode (WOLED) containing new blue layer was fabricated with a simple device structure, which is deposited by 4-CbzBiz, Alq3, and DCM2 for blue, green, and red. Electroluminescence (EL) performance of WOLED showed current efficiency (CE) of 0.61 cd/A, power efficiency (PE) of 0.22 lm/W and external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 0.85%. The device exhibited EL max wavelength of 444, 511, and 638 nm. The device showed commission International de l’Eclairage (CIE) value of (0.30, 0.33) corresponding to cool white emission. This result can be used with an advantage in white lighting and display application by obtaining a high color rendering index.
