Abstract
Neck abscess is a rarely encountered condition in children. Furthermore, the condition has been thought to have become even less common with the development of effective antibiotics. However, early detection and treatment of neck abscess is necessary, especially in children, as it may lead to airway narrowing or other potentially fatal complications. We report 3 cases of neck abscess, diagnosed by computed tomography (CT) in children with different clinical backgrounds: Kabuki make-up syndrome, Kawasaki disease, and acquired hemophilia. It is important to consider the nature of the underlying disease before deciding on surgical drainage of the abscess.
