Abstract
This chapter considers the ‘positioning’ of researching professionals who are funded by the organisation to which they belong and which they are researching, as I am. Griffiths (1998, p. 133) suggests that all researchers need to engage in reflexive examination of their own socio-political positions and interests because “bias comes not from having ethical and political positions – that is inevitable – but from not acknowledging them”.
