Abstract
ABSTRACT We introduce the idea of an introductory modelling course to be taught across the undergraduate curriculum. We suggest objectives for such a course and offer approaches for teaching it in an active learning and group-learning environment. We discuss the requirements for supporting software and introduce Nova, a novel platform that is currently under development.
