Abstract
Naming a structure after an individual has been a way of acknowledging someones work for hundreds of years. In the past a scientists name held a great deal of respect in academic circles and naming an anatomical finding was a significant honour. Modern anatomists prefer to use non-eponymous descriptions to ensure scientific accuracy. This paper focuses on five eponymous structures of the anatomy of the vascular system.
