Abstract

Training the thinking skills for students, including critical thinking skills, is necessary and in line with the requirements of educational innovation towards developing competencies and qualities for students. Using questions to train critical thinking skills in teaching the Body Biology section is one of the measures to enhance students’ key competencies such as biology competency, problem-solving and creative competency. The paper proposes the process of designing questions to train critical thinking skills. This process was applied to build the types of questions to train critical thinking skills for students in teaching “Growth and development in plants” topics in Plants Body Biology section in Biology 11.
