Abstract

Introduction: Explosive injury from terrorist activity was responsible for significant mortality in Northern Ireland. Previous analyses of terrorist initiated events from this period have either not had access to post-mortem data, or focused on military subjects alone. The aim of this review is to describe a comprehensive series of head, face and neck (HFN) injuries from terrorist explosions in an urbanized environment.
