Abstract
Third-order nonlinear optical properties of a solution-processible copolymer of 3-methylthiophene and methyl methacrylate are reported. The value of third-order nonlinear susceptibility X(3) approximately 7*10-12 esu of the copolymer is about two orders of magnitude smaller than that of poly(3-dodecylthiophene).
