Abstract

Pouch failure after redo ileal pouch anal anastomosis (IPAA) occurs in 20-40% of cases. The decision to offer a second redo procedure to maintain intestinal continuity is controversial, and scarce evidence exists regarding long-term pouch survival and functional outcomes after redo-redo IPAA.
