Abstract
To the Editor Considering social, economic, environmental, and internal developments within universities, the need for medical universities, particularly nursing schools, to transition into third-generation universities has become evident [1]. Given the extensive changes in the field of medical sciences and society's needs, shifting perspectives on university education is necessary. Unfortunately, outdated university curricula, the lack of alignment between educational planning and global changes, reliance on traditional teaching methods, and the absence of creative skills among students are some of the main obstacles preventing universities, especially medical and nursing schools, from fulfilling their educational missions [2]. Meanwhile, the higher education system in each country is responsible for training specialized workforces [2]. Undoubtedly, the economic and social added value of any society depends on the performance of its universities. Moving toward third-generation nursing schools is an inevitable process [1].
