Abstract
Basically it is difficult for blind people pass their day to day life with their disabilities. To make their stick smarter, we interfaced some system with their walking stick. In this system we interfaced some smart functions with their stick. Whenever the obstacle is detected on the way through ultra-sonic sensor placed on the stick, Camera gets triggered to capture the object which is on the way. The captured image is sent to processor to identify the type of the object and then it is intimated as voice command through speaker or via earphones connected with Raspberry pi. So that blind can able to identify the object in-front of them, if it is identified that is a human in their way, they can ask for any help. If there is a large obstacle like a car, they can be able to walk based on the object in-front of them. We are also making open-source audio book software so you can build a reader with very simple raspberry pi controls. Here we present to you the Brick Pi Book reader which can read aloud a real book. As a concern of the authenticity of the person he can also identify the user in front of him by using Face Recognition which can differentiate between a known person and unknown person. We can also add Reading Text from Video Streaming.
