Abstract

Introduction/Objective: Properly diagnosing dementia type allows for expectant management of the syndrome, education of the patient and family, and long term care planning. There is considerable overlap of diagnostic features of the dementia syndromes which can increase the difficulty of accurate diagnosis. This case report presents a patient with clinical features and diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, yet conflicting autopsy diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.
