Abstract
A microwave phase shifter based on a thin-film multiferroic metamaterials has been investigated. The thin-film structure was composed of a ferrite film, a ferroelectric film, and a slot transmission line. It was shown that the developed phase shifter is electrically and magnetically tunable. The dual tunability is due to a hybridization of the spin wave in the ferrite film with the electromagnetic wave in the slot-line. Performance characteristics of the phase shifter are presented.
