Abstract

TLC chromatography is a rapid and effective method of monitoring the course of chemical reactions. It is particularly simple in situations in which substrates and products differ substantially in polarity. In such circumstances finding an appropriate chromatographic system is a much easier task than if the hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity of both substrates and products is comparable. Such chromatographic methods have an additional advantage if the substances separated are naturally colored. P.
