Abstract

Raster technique is employed widely in the manufacture of multilayer, sheathed, and other films as well as for laying polymer and other coats on different bases (films, foil, paper, fabric, etc.). For this purpose use is made of rollers having linear rasters (spiral triangular grooves) with a raster inclination @= 45 ~ to the generating line of the cylinder, a groove opening angle ~ = 90-120 ~ , and a lineation N = 7-60 lines per centimeter of the cylinder generating line. Raster rollers of such a design make it possible to lay coats 3-300 ~m and more in thickness (when wet) with a small variation of •
