Abstract

Commercial resistive pastes are applied on alumina substrates by planar thick-film technology. The electrochemical properties of these films are studied in voltammetric experiments. Results indicate that thick-film RuO 2 electrodes offer considerable advantages over classically manufactured electrodes. The preparation of these electrodes is straightforward and easy. They behave well with redox systems, have small capacitive currents and are robust.
