Abstract

ABSTRACTThe thermoresponsive-molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) monolith with the ability of molecular recognition for quercetin was prepared. The smart monolith was synthesized using 2-acrylamide-2-methyl-propanesulfonic acid and N-isopropylacrylamide as temperature responsive functional monomers, respectively. It was observed that thermoresponsive-MIP1 monolith had uniform porosity structure. Thermoresponsive-MIP1 monolith displayed a stronger interaction with the imprint molecule by desorbing cyclic voltammetry. The chromatographic peak shape and recognition efficiency of thermoresponsive-MIP monolith was improved by elevated temperature. The thermoresponsive-MIP1 monolith provided a great potential application in high-performance liquid chromatography system for recognizing quercetin with a short time by controlling the column temperature.
