Abstract

Abstract The authors of the article show that the use of thermoplastic hardening to restore the performance of blades of high and low pressure turbines of gas turbine engines allows them to successfully operate at least 60 and 90 thousand hours, respectively. To prove this, studies have been carried out on the fatigue limit and the microstructure of the blades after several recovery cycles. Experimental data allow to judge the high quality and reliability of blades repaired using thermoplastic hardening.
