Abstract

Thermoplastic elastomer compounds based on polycaprolactam and IR-3, NBR-40, EPDM-50, and SBR-1705 rubbers were prepared. The mechanochemical degradation in the course of preparing the compounds leads to a slight decrease in their strength. As demonstrated by the example of compounds of Viton A-601C rubber with polycaprolactam, it is appropriate to evaluate thermoplastic elastomers as systems exhibiting emergent properties.
