Abstract
Results of thermomigration measurements in liquid tin performed on board EURECA (experiment MF067) are presented. The aims of the experiment were to measure the thermomigration coefficients of gold and of some Tin isotopes in SnAu alloys and more generally, to complete the previous results obtained in Spacelab flights of 1983 (FSLP) and 1985 (D1). As in those previous flights, the “shear cell” technique, allowing a division of the sample in the liquid state, was used. The completion of those results will allow to determine the systems for which microgravity measurements are mandatory.
