Abstract

We have studied the deformation of micropolar generalized thermoelastic medium with voids under the influence of various sources acting on the plane surface. The generalized thermoelasticity developed by Green and Lindsay [1] has been used to solve the problem. The transformed expressions of displacement components, force stress, couple stress, change in volume fraction field, and temperature distribution are obtained after applying the integral transforms. The numerical inversion technique has been used to obtain the resulting expressions in physical domain. The numerical results are presented graphically when the volume source is applied. A particular case has also been deduced.
