Abstract
Thermoluminescence studies on X-ray irradiated Li 2O–CaF 2–B 2O 3 glasses doped with different concentrations (0–0.4 mol%) of MnO have been carried out. The thermoluminescence light output has been observed to decrease with increase in MnO concentration. Results of these studies (coupled with the data on optical absorption and infrared spectra) are analyzed in the light of different oxidation states of Mn ions.
