Abstract

Fluorite has been used for the dosimetry of gamma radiation from radionuclides that have “plated-out” on component surfaces in the Prototype Fast Reactor at Dounreay. At an ambient temperature of 250°C the minimum detectable dose is 1 mGy (0.1 rad.).
