Abstract

We report the thermopower for the REIn 3 compounds in temperature range between 5 K and 300 K. We show that differences in thermopower observed for compounds containing either light or heavy RE element can be interpreted in terms of differences in topology of their Fermi surface. Beyond the well known anomalies observed in low temperatures the presence of an additional crystal field effect is suggested.
