Abstract

The influence of semi-parabolic surface potential on quantum well thermoelectric power is investigated. The thermoelectric power dependence on the Fermi level and quantum well parameters is determined. It is shown that semi-parabolic quantum well thermoelectric power exhibits hysteresis features. The hysteresic loops and sign change in thermoelectric power dependence on the surface potential are ascribed to properties of electrons at the edges and electron localization.
