Abstract

This artwork illustrates nickel ethenetetrathioloate (NiETT), which is one of the highest performing n-type thermoelectric materials, as discussed in articles 1800884 and 1900066 by Shannon K. Yee and co-workers, flying towards the reader and into a futuristic wearable thermoelectric technology. The background is tessellated with pentagons forming hexagons, which illustrates the landscape of conjugated polymers (both 5 and 6 member rings). A watermark of the NiETT polymer appears in the lower left to provide the chemical context to the ball-and-stick representation of the polymer. The color scheme blends with the polymer giving the reader a sense of heat (yellow) and cold (blue), thereby accentuating the special issue theme.
