Abstract

AbstractSpectral properties and heat to electrical energy conversion efficiency considering a 1D tight‐binding Fibonacci chain subjected to cosine modulation is explored. The interplay between Fibonacci sequence and the cosine modulation is quite impressive which brings several non‐trivial signatures in spectral behavior and enhanced thermoelectric efficiency. The thermoelectric quantities are evaluated using the Landauer prescription following the well‐known Green's function technique. The cosine modulation in the Fibonacci lattice reduces thermal conductance which therefore helps us to get higher thermoelectric efficiency compared to the modulation free case. This analysis may provide some essential mechanisms to achieve efficient thermoelectric devices considering different kinds of correlated disordered lattices.
