Abstract

This paper focuses on the thermoelastic response of a non-simple solid cylinder with variable thermal conductivity due to a continuous line heat source. The solid is interspersed with a uniform magnetic field and magneto-thermoelastic interactions are studied under the purview of the dual-phase lag model. Laplace transform technique is utilized to get the exact expressions for the displacement, the temperature, and the thermal stress distributions. It is important to delve into the influence of the continuous line heat source in the thermoelastic process. Comparisons are made with results between different models of thermoelasticity. Numerical results are also performed for appropriate material to clarify the results.
