Abstract
The phase diagram of the AgClAg 2SO 4 system was determined. It is of the simple eutectic type with a eutectic temperature of 304°C at 31.5 mole % Ag 2SO 4. Deviations from Raoult's law are slightly negative. Solutions of AgCl in Ag 2SO 4 follow the Temkin model: solutions of Ag 2SO 4 in AgCl exhibit some SO 2− 4 vacancy dimers.
