Abstract

We consider effects of temperature on the masses of mesons containing charmed quarks, by considering the SU f(3) Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model after formally replacing m s by m c . In the temperature range of interest, we find no Mott-like transition of the J/ Ψ state into the D D continuum, indicating that within this model, it is not the mechanism whereby J/ Ψ suppression occurs.
