I Privorotskii Jerusalem: Israel Universities Press, Chichester: Halsted 1976 pp xii + 129 price £9.35, In this book the author briefly examines a variety of topics which include domain formation, the magnetization (polarization) curve and the nucleation problem with reference to both ferromagnetic and ferroelectric materials. The particular problems chosen for analysis are a direct result of the author's work at the L D Landau Institute of Theoretical Physics of the USSR Academy of Sciences and he tends to draw heavily from both his own published work and that of Landau and Lifshitz.
