Abstract

A quantitative relationship between composition, temperature and partial pressures for HgCdTe materials under solid-vapour equilibrium state has been calculated for the first time. The calculation results have been used to explain some experimental phenomena reasonably well. These results are an important complement to the phase diagrams of the HgCdTe ternary system, which are very useful for VPE and annealing technologies of Hg 1−xCd xTe crystals.
