Abstract

The temperature dependence for molar heat capacity of the solid solution Tb2O3·2ZrO2 has been determined by adiabatic calorimetry (6–340 K). Based on the smoothed values of molar heat capacity, thermodynamic functions of Tb2O3·2ZrO2 have been calculated without regard for very low temperature (<6 K) magnetic transformations. The studies have been performed on samples characterized by chemical, phase and electron microscopy analyses.
