Abstract

AbstractThe exact solution of the atomic limit of the s–f model and S = 7/2 is given. The thermodynamic averages 〈n↑〉, 〈Szn↓〉, 〈Szn↑〉, 〈Sz(n↑– n↓)〉, 〈S+a↓+a↑〉 are calculated as functions of temperature and for different values of the average electron occupation numbers N. The validity of the factorization of some correlation functions is investigated. It is found that the factorization is acceptable only for low temperature and small values of N.
