Abstract

The polymorphism of liquid cesium at atmospheric pressure in thetemperature range of ~590 K in the form of a second-order phasetransition, announced in the late 90s, is not confirmed in new experimentalworks and in computer simulations of its properties. At the same time, thequestion whether the change in the properties of liquid cesium with adecrease or increase in density up to two times is monotonous or isaccompanied by various anomalies needs further research.
