Abstract

Electromotive force measurements in the temperature range 670 to 760 K have been used to determine the thermodynamic properties of sodium in ternary mixtures of sodium + cadmium + indium. Darken's method was used to calculate the partial excess functions for the cadmium and indium. The solid-liquid equilibrium surface for the system was also determined using thermal analysis. The maximum equilibrium temperature recorded was 745 K.
