Abstract

Using the lowest-order liquid-state thermodynamic perturbation theory and the hard-sphere fluid as the reference system, the phase diagram of attractive hard-core Yukawa fluids is computed. The results are presented in the reduced temperature versus reduced density, reduced pressure versus reduced temperature, and reduced pressure versus reduced density planes. A comparison with available simulation data and a discussion of the merits and limitations of this approach are also provided.
