Abstract

The adsorption Rehbinder effect is determined using an earlier-suggested thermodynamical adsorption theory on a solid surface taking into account its deformation. Single-component adsorption is considered for the case in which the adsorption isotherm on an undeformed surface is the Frumkin isotherm. The dependence of the value of the effect on the adsorbate-bulk concentration and the effect of the attraction constant on The Frumkin isotherm on it are analyzed. The concentration selectivity of the adsorption effect and the condition of the dome shape of the dependence of this value on the bulk concentration are explained in terms of isotherm parameters.
