Abstract

Adsorption calorimetric data on the reactions of liquid phase hydrogenation are used within the surface model with discrete inhomogeneity in the approximation of an ideal adsorption layer to calculate thermodynamic characteristics of equilibria of individual adsorbed hydrogen forms on a partially deactivated nickel catalyst in aqueous solutions of sodium hydroxide of different concentration. The effect of solution composition on the limiting adsorption values and adsorption coefficients of surface hydrogen-metal complexes on a skeletal nickel catalyst is shown.
