Abstract
The excess volumes for sulfolane + alcohol (normal and branched chain) are presented at 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15 K over the entire composition range and the findings interpreted. Negative departures from ideality (less than 0.9 cm 3 mol −1) are observed. These are more noticeable in the case of lower alcohols and are scarcely influenced by temperature.
