Abstract

The thermodynamic analyses for the combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system based on organic Rankine cycle (ORC) integrated with heat pump have been carried out. The influence of properties of zeotropic mixtures on the system performance is investigated. The results show that zeotropic mixtures of dry working fluid and wet working fluid have higher temperature glide, power efficiency, cooling efficiency and coefficient of performance (COP). R141b/R134a(55:45)has higher power output with the maximum power efficiency of 6%. R123/R152a (85:15) has remarkable cooling effect with the maximum cooling efficiency of 20.3%. The cooling performance has dominant influence on the overall ORC-CCHP system. R141b/R152a (80:20) has excellent system performance with the maximum COP of 1.18, which is suitable zeotropic mixture for the ORC-CCHP system. The ORC-CCHP system integrated with ejector and heat pump utilizing zeotropic mixtures is technically feasible and economically attractive.
