Abstract
The formation constants, enthalpy and entropy changes for the formation of bis-histidino complexes of Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) ions have been determined. The thermodynamic quantities ΔH and ΔS have been examined in the light of the nature of bonding of the central metal ion to different donor groups in the histidine molecule.
