Abstract
1. The appearance potentials were used to determine the enthalpies of formation of the p-HOC6H4,O+ (676.0) and p-NH2C6H4O+ ions (776.8 kJ/mole). 2. The isomerization of the molecular ions of aromatic nitro compounds to ionized nitrites requires additional energy expenditures.
