Abstract
The Pascal program THEMOBAR calculates temperature and pressure of mantle equilibration of upper mantle rocks using several published geothermometers and a garnet lherzolite geobarometer. Temperatures of equilibration of both spinel and garnet lherzolites are calculated, whereas pressure is calculated for garnet lherzolites only. THERMOBAR can be used with either an IBM-PC or a mainframe (VAX), and printouts may be obtained on a conventional dot-matrix printer.
