Abstract

A thermoacoustic engine using a two-dimensional nine-bit lattice gas was simulated. The model engine consisted of a tube with a regenerator and two heat exchangers. The evolution process of self-excited thermoacoustic oscillation and the optimization of the regenerator were studied. The validity of a lattice gas model for a thermoacoustic engine was also verified experimentally.
