Abstract

Five commercially available TiO2 powder photocatalysts and 8 series of synthesized in laboratory TiO2-based samples, containing deposited Mn, Cu, Pt, and Ag, have been studied in test reaction of complete oxidation of gaseous VOC under UV (370 nm) and blue (440 nm) light at a temperature within a range 40–140 ℃. The dependencies of the activity on the reaction temperature are obtained, the influence of the nature and amount of the modifier on the change in activity under both types of radiation is shown. The obtained results demonstrate significant differences in the influence of the modifier’s nature on the thermal enhancement of the photocatalytic process. The data obtained show a difference between thermal intensification of photooxidation under UV and visible light and may be useful for practical implementation of photocatalytic technologies with an extended action spectrum of photocatalysts.
