Abstract

Poultry farming is a significant contributor to providing healthy and protein-rich products to humans at a low cost. Disease in poultry farming causes a considerable loss for farmers and raises food security issues. Thermo graphic cameras can detect early infections in the poultry farm and inform the farmers of necessary actions to avoid spreading disease among birds. It can also monitor the floor temperature, air inlet following patterns, and cooling system efficiency for the well-being of birds. Despite several advantages of thermo graphic cameras, the setup cost is very high and acts as a barrier for popularization in use. This paper proposed architecture to install a minimum number of thermal cameras in the poultry farm and send this data to the server for further processing. Integrating the Internet of Things(IoT) and Computer Vision enhances efficiency, productivity and resolves various issues present in agriculture.
