Abstract
The bolometer element was made from oxidized Ni-Co or Ni-Co-Mn alloy. This element proved to have such high temperature coefficients as rangning from 2% to 8% and thickness from 1 to 10μ. Besides, any pin holes were detected in it with the naked eye.The process of obtaining Ni-Co or Ni-Co-Mn alloy was as follows; In the first place, copper plated aluminium foil was plated with Ni-Co or Ni-Co-Mn alloy. Then the outercovering was stripped off and finally the copper was solved with NaCH, thus to leave Ni-Co or Ni-Co-Mn foil alone.The properties of bolometer consisting of this element are given in Table II. They have very good voltage sensitivity and time constants.
