Abstract
Purpose: This review analyzes the properties of magnetically active iron(II) and (III) complexes with tridentate ligands, in which the phenomenon of spin-crossover (SCO) and thermochromism (color change with temperature change) is observed. The most widely studied systems with SCO are hexacoordinated iron(II, III) complexes with the FeN6 coordination node.
