Abstract

The elastic and the total neutron scattering experiments were performed for 10AgI–3Ag 2O–2V 2O 5 and 3Ag 2O–2V 2O 5 glasses at room temperature. Temperature dependence of the elastic scattering profile was also investigated for 10AgI–3Ag 2O–2V 2O 5 glass from 10 to 295 K. The change of the mean-square-displacement averaged through all the constituent ions with temperature and composition was clarified based on the neutron scattering profiles. The overall mean-square-displacement was found to change linearly with temperature. The relation between the mean-square-displacement and the ionic conductivity in AgI-doped glasses was discussed.
